Action to take for postings from non-members for which no explicit action is defined. (Details for generic_nonmember_action) Accept
Its already set to accept.
With it set to 'accept' will i as list owner receive moderation emails stating that there are emails waiting to be accepted because they are from non members?

Yes.
Set "generic_nonmember_action" to "accept". You find that option at http://your.host.example/mailman/admin/$your-list/privacy/sender.
