I installed mailman and have had a list running for ages now. It works great. Just the other day I added a new list to my system. I can access the admin page via the web but when i make changes and then submit the form the changes do not take place. I have checked all permissions and am out of ideas. I have all cached pages turned off in my browser.
Any ideas?
Tnx, Blist

Just was bit by something similar.
Check for web server redirects. Check that the URLs used in the
list are corect. Check source of the page before you submit for ACTION= and make sure it goes to the right system.

I did check this. And it is the correct URL. I cannot figure out why it would work on the one list and not this new one.

Check
cd ${MAILMAN}
bin/dumpdb lists/<listname>/config.pck | grep -i http
also. And make sure no one altered mm_cfg.py. Check DEFAULT_URL_HOST. Beyond that, you got me, no clue.

Actually, now that I have looked at it more. My Servers URL is:
http://www.prostream.net/mailman/admin/fma/general
However the form port goes to:
<form action="http://prostream.net/mailman/admin/fma/general" method="POST" >
http://prostream.net does redirect correctly, but maybe its loosing the POST information? How can i change the post form URL?

Yeah, this is defintely your problem. You can change the list URL problem by using the withlist program in ~mailman/bin/:
./withlist -l -r fix_url [listname] -u prostream.net -v
Then you can use the information in Chris's previous post to check that the web_page_url setting in the config file has been modified properly.
