This morning I installed mailman-2.0.5-2.i386.rpm for Redhat. Everything seems to be working fine except the archives.I get this 404 Not Found error.
The requested URL /pipermail/test2/ was not found on this server
I added to my httpd.conf the following:
ScriptAlias /mailman/ /var/mailman/cgi-bin/ Alias /pipermail/ /var/mailman/archives/public/
Then restarted Apache.
When I look at /var/mailman/archives/public, I find a symbolic link that points me to /var/mailman/archives/private/test.There doesn't seem to be anything in the ..../private/test/ folder, so that may be the problem.
If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

just a wild guess... has anything been send to the list yet and has the first archives been created yet? Maybe nothing will show up in the private dir untill the first time it builds the archive...
