Venue for PyCon India 2017

Hey all, As you all already know, Delhi is set to host PyCon India 2017. We need to zero in on a venue for the same by 15th December. Some requirements for the venue are: - Minimum three auditoriums with at least one auditorium having capacity above 1000 - Must have enough roofed space to setup 4-6 food stalls, 4-5 sponsor booths, and 1-5 sponsor table setup. - Rooms for child care and dev sprints. Also a room to serve as store room We are looking for venue suggestions conforming to above requirements. Please get back if you have any suggestion and can help in booking the same. When she’s not cursing at computers, Keynote, or poorly formatted chapters, she knits, sews, and secretly writes fantasy books. She is the CTO of Speak Agent, a company focused on helping kids learn English through games. There, she creates iPad apps, websites, and curses English grammar on a regular basis. Katie lives in the DC area with her husband, two kids, and two dogs. Minutes of meeting of Hangout (17th Nov 2016)

Dear Pythonistas! In the hangout session on Thursday 17th Nov 2016 we discussed the following: People present on the call were Akshay, Rishabh, Saurabh Kumar, Ashutosh, Sanyam, Jatin, Kunal, T K Sourabh including me. ## PyDelhi meetups: - Akshay, T K Sourabh and others discussed to have PyDelhi meetups on every 3rd weekend of a month as per decided in earlier MoM. - Saurabh suggested we should not alter our schedule for the meetups and have it every alternate weekend and we can also go for the combined meetup, as we can have first 2 hours slot for any Python Data, Django,ILUG-D, PyLadies meetup and last 2 hours slot for as usual PyDelhi meetup. If the other groups need more time, they can schedule 2 hours earlier. This is decided and will be followed if no one has any issues? -One more point suggested that there can be two alternate weekend for PyDelhi meetups and rest two for the another. Akshay suggested to conduct meetups on Sunday instead of Saturday as it will be convienient because of holiday, mostly for all. Going on we are going to have meetups every alternate sundays, instead of Saturday. Unless someone has any better idea. ## PyDelhi Conf: - Akshay & Saurabh, asked whether PyDelhi community ready to have PyDelhiConf this year? - In a reply Ashutosh, Rishabh and Sanyam said that it will be conducted. - What will be good time for conducting it? - Akshay suggested june will not be the good time due to summers - Ashutosh & Rishabh suggested for 1st week of March for the PyDelhi conf. - Akshay & Saurabh told that we need people to come up forward and take initiatives for this time as newer generations must come forward and take responsibilities. Suggestions? As fellow PyDelhi we are seeking active participation and feedbacks on the above decisions.
