Hey everyone,
We have an important announcement to share.
After a lot of internal discussion, we've decided to cancel this month's
meetup as we take some time to rethink and restructure how PyDelhi events
are organized going forward.
For many years, PyDelhi has largely run monthly meetups featuring 3–4 talks
and speakers. We've loved building the community this way and are
incredibly grateful to everyone who has attended, spoken at, volunteered
for, or supported these events.
However, we've realized that maintaining a high-quality talk-based meetup
every month isn't sustainable for our volunteer team. Finding great
speakers, reviewing proposals, coordinating logistics, and ensuring
attendees get value from each meetup requires significant time and
effort. *We'd
rather do fewer events well than more events poorly.*
We're currently considering two possible directions:
*Option A*
- 6–7 talk-based meetups per year
- 1–2 BOF (Birds of a Feather) / discussion-driven meetups
*OR*
*Option B*
- Monthly BOF/networking/community-style meetups
- Speaker-led talk meetups every 2–3 months
Before making any decisions, we'd love to hear from the community.

PyDelhi exists because of its community, and we'd like any future changes
to reflect what the community finds most valuable.
Your responses will directly influence how PyDelhi plans its meetup
calendar and event formats going forward, so we'd really appreciate your
input.
If you'd like to actively volunteer and help organize PyDelhi events, we'd
love to hear from you as well. Feel free to reply to this email or reach
out to any of the organizers.
Thank you for being part of the PyDelhi community.
