Hi all, There is a bug report asking for the example files under doc/cython, doc/swig etc. to be included in the released binaries. This thread, http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.numeric.general/26913/focus=26917, seems to indicate the docs should still be integrated in the main documentation. What do we want to do with the example files, are they still up to date? Ralf

Bento question: Fortran 90 & Cython support

Hi, I'm very interested in Bento and think it will be a killer project. My question: do you anticipate supporting Fortran 90 within Bento, or will that be delegated to an external build tool? There are some intricacies with Fortran 90 that make it difficult to use with the usual configure-then-build ordering, specifically when the configure step depends on .mod files that don't exist until after compilation. Also, what about projects with Pyrex/Cython sources: will Bento internally support .pyx files? Would it be possible to add a command in bento/commands for Fortran 90 / Cython support, or would you recommend doing this through waf/scons? Thanks, Kurt

ndarray.copy does not accept keyword argument

According to the docstring, ndarray.copy should accept a keyword argument "order". This doesn't seem to work for me: >>> np.array([[1,2],[3,4]]).copy(order='C') Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> TypeError: copy() takes no keyword arguments Calling ndarray.copy with a positional argument seems to work, but this behavior seems inconsistent with the documentation and other occurrences of the "order" keyword. two dimensional array of sets

Hello, this is a very basic question but i don't know the answer. I would like to construct a two dimensional array A, such that A[i][j] contains a set of numbers associated to the pair (i,j). For example, A[i][j] can be all the numbers that are written as i^n*j*5-n for some all n=1,..,5 Is numpy what i need? if not which is the way to define such arrays. I mean, how do i declare an 2-dimensional array of a given size (for after start filling it with specific sets)? Numpy datetime support

Hello, I am an eager for numpy datetime support, but I have not heard about it recently. Last I heard it was taken out of 1.4 because of some compatibility issues. When will datetime be a full numpy feature? Best Regards, John
