This looks like either you've got remanents of a really old numarray installed or you're trying to run from within the numarray package directory. In the numarray-speak of today, you'd write the import as: import numarray.random_array as R If you're running from the numarray package directory, don't. If you think maybe you've got old numarray stuff installed, figure out where RandomArray2 is coming from and delete it; use numarray.random_array. Regards, Todd
