The NumPy Steering Council is excited to announce that we have received a $10k grant from the Bloomberg FOSS Contributor Fund. We appreciate Bloomberg’s commitment to sustaining critical digital infrastructure and thank all the Bloomberg employees who nominated our project for this grant. -- Inessa Pawson NumPy Steering Council member GitHub: inessapawson

This is great news! Thanks to Bloomberg for the donation, and thank you Inessa for leading the communications around accepting and announcing this donation. We don't currently have a concrete purpose for this particular donation by itself, but it certainly helps the project to have funds to spend in a way we think is most effective. It has enabled the creation of a fellowship last year, and it makes it much easier to make decisions like spending some money on keeping Cirrus CI running on platforms for which there aren't any free options. Cheers, Ralf
