I've updated scipy.base (Numeric3) so math is now supported (uses the old ufunc apparatus with new added types support). There is still some work to be done so this is still very alpha (but at least math operations work): - update the ufunc apparatus to use buffers to avoid copying an entire array just for type casting (and to support unaligned and non byteswapped arrays) - update the way error handling is done. - update the coercion strategy like numarray does - fix all the bugs. I've also fixed things so Numeric extension modules should compile --- Please report warnings and bugs with this as well. Thanks for all your help, -Travis
