The clue is in the list's title: it's for people with some kind of interest and/or stake in the PSF,

Alas the community doesn't seem to feel the need for a bidirectional channel, and clearly very few information originators consider it useful.

If you are reading this message: what did you expect to see on this list? What might you do to encourage people to post the sort of content you'd like to see?

PS: EuroPython is a brilliant community conference, in historical terms about six months older than PyCon and just as community-spirited.

It's not that I don't like to know that EuroPython is hard at work, it's great that you're enthusiastic, but I don't think the level of updates currently being sent to this list is useful. A few of the most important updates, such as a CFP or ticket sales seems more appropriate.

I can add a filter that deletes anything with "EuroPython", but that means I will hear nothing, rather than just important things, and might miss other PSF-related discussions of EuroPython.

Perhaps the problem is not with EuroPython posting too many things, but rather why aren't other members share more "community-type" announcements here?

Another thing that would be great is if the PSF community page (https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/psf-community) can be updated to include more elaborate guidelines and examples of what posts are acceptable or not.
