Below are updates for this year's ballot.
All eligible voters in this year's election should have an email from Helios Voting Bot no-reply@mail.heliosvoting.org in their inboxes. Check your spam folders please - I found mine in spam, unfortunately. Email me directly (ewa@python.org) if you need us to re-send it to you.
We have a great list of candidates this year and I urge everyone to take a few minutes to vote.
Due to human error, the previously proposed bylaw changes did not make it onto this ballot (https://mail.python.org/mailman/private/psf-vote/2021-May/000463.html). There isn't a way to cancel the vote or update the ballot via Helios.
To make sure folks don't accidentally miss the board nomination ballot in the midst of receiving a second ballot at the same time, it was decided to send out a second ballot after the board election closes, which is scheduled to happen June 17th. At that time, the PSF will send out a second ballot for the bylaw changes - we will send a reminder to the psf-vote@ list when it is sent.
For future ballots the PSF staff and board will put checks and balances in place so we can avoid these types of errors.
