If the community were more active the EuroPython announcements would be lost in the noise.
The fact that they are so prominent is really a measure of the channel’s uselessness. It appears to be little more than window-dresssing: this is clearly not seen as a channel through which to address “the PSF community” (whatever that is).
Since April when the first “website launched” message was sent, 65% of all new threads posted to the psf-community list have been EuroPython announcements.
At this point I believe EuroPython announcements either outnumber, or are close to outnumbering, posts about all other PyCons combined.
Please consider starting a separate EuroPython announcements mailing list and inviting people who are interested to subscribe to it, as at this point the volume of EuroPython announcements sent to psf-community is, in my opinion, well over the line into spamming.
