I would like my proposed talk "Deploying Tool support for Teaching Python
to non-CS Majors: Experiences from a Nigerian College " to be scheduled for
open space at the PyCon 2018.
I have been teaching Computer Science and programming in the university for
over a decade and I shall be bringing in the perspectives of teaching
programming in a developing economy for over a decade. Though this
particular presentation has not been given elsewhere before now, I have a
rich experience of speaking at international and local conferences.
This talk is for everyone who is interested in improved pedagogical
approaches to teaching python in colleges and schools. There is no
specialized background knowledge required other than an appreciation of the
developing country and the diversity perspective to teaching python in
schools.
Kind regards.
