Hello, I've attended and volunteered at PyCon twice and other Regional conferences. I've never been a chair of a team. The first time I attended PyCon we had a Spanish speaking Open Spaces (Trey suggested it) where we formed a cool group and now we are organizing the very first Latam conference in Mexico (yay). So needless to say, open spaces are amazing in my opinion. I would like to help, I have time and will be attending this year and most years after this. Thanks, Katia

Hello, I am Vipul Gupta, a student developer for Sugar Labs, passionate open-source contributor, Pythonista, and an avid Calvin and Hobbes comics collector hoping to throw my hat in the ring for being a volunteer (Co-Chair) for PyCon US open-spaces. I genuinely love working for PyCon's any way I can and have been part of many in the past years as well. Previously working closely behind the teams in PyCon India 2018, PyCon India 2017, PyDelhi Conference 2017 as a development manager and on-site volunteer. I know the commitment that is needed, responsibilities and time and effort that needs to be put in at my end all too well. Being a student it all fits neatly in my schedule as well, just like other times when i am helping other PyCon's. Being an attendee, volunteer, organizer, and even a speaker at PyDelhi meetups and conferences has given me enough experience to work remotely effectively, be humble and lovely to all, share my views constructively and also keep in touch at all times.
