Thank you very much Anna. That's a real honor. I'd be happy to chair the Open Spaces organizing committee. However, if you or Trey know of a less experienced volunteer from 2017 that could benefit from the chance to take on a leadership role more than I, I'd be happy to let them take the chair role. I'm thinking of Zak, who built the twitter bot and did a lot of the work this year. I'd assist/mentor them to keep things running smoothly in Cleveland.

I hope you’re well :)
It was good to see you at PyCon this year! Thank you again for all your help and efforts. I quite liked the Open Spaces bot and hope that we can use it again next year.
I wanted to ask you to become PyCon Open Spaces chair for PyCon 2018/19. I completed my two years as chair and it is now time for me to step down from this role and pass it on to someone else. Since you have been on the team the longest and since you have done an excellent job helping us for the past two years, I would be delighted to see you chair the Open Spaces efforts for the next two years. Chairing basically means doing what you have been doing and additionally taking on the coordinating efforts. The time commitment will still remain small. I’m happy to chat more about it if you have any questions or concerns. I also plan on staying on the team so I am happy to jump in and help if needed.
I want to mention that it is ok for you to say no for whatever reason that may be. We would love to have you on the team either way, or if you cannot commit to staying on the team, we understand and are thankful for all your efforts.
Please let me know what you think when you get a chance.
Warm regards, Anna
