Hi,

I'm interested in hosting an Open Space at PyCon about "Rural Computing"
This would mainly focus on use of the Python language and computing related
projects with it to get more of the good problem solvers living in rural areas interested
in working in computing.    I started https://hub-ology.org/ in South Carolina to help address
a number of issues via gifts of hardware kits + computer eduction (primarily using Python as the programming language).   I'd like to share experiences and make connections with others living and working in rural areas.   https://github.com/corbinbs/solarshed is a good example of a project we've found that has gotten folks interested in learning more about Python and computing that don't have a lot of formal training (and may have even dropped out of school due to hard times).

I don't yet have a planned time for it and would like help in advertising the possibility of this open space to identify the best time to host it for folks that are interested
https://us.pycon.org/2019/events/open-spaces/

Looking forward to PyCon and thanks for all of the work that's gone into the planning this year (and all the years)!

Thank you,

Brian Corbin
