Hi Haley,

Thank you for your note!

Are you familiar with the Open Spaces concept? Do you know for sure that you will be able to attend PyCon 2019, 2020, and 2021?

Warm regards,
Anna

You are appreciated.
You are enough.
You matter.
You are not alone.

Good evening,

My name is Haley Bear and I am interested in participating as an Open Space co-chair at PyCon this year. This will be my second year in attendance; however, I think that is an asset to the assignment as I am both eager to learn and be helpful, and without bias or prejudice towards how others may believe things should be. I am an aspiring developer who has been working with the Python language in my current field of work, QA testing and automation. I have been in the field for almost three years, and graduated from college with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
Last year's PyCon was an amazing experience for me. I wasn't listed as a volunteer but jumped in to help at registration, swag bag filling, and several shifts of the PyLadies booth and came away with a mentor and the hopes to help more at future events.
This isn't a short-term interest for me by any means; I intend to attend every year that I'm fiscally able to going forward.

Thank you for your consideration!
Haley Bear
