Re: [Pycon-openspaces] [pycon-reg] CORRECTION: CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap doc film for PyCon

[cc'ing in our Open Spaces team for FYI] Hi Kimberly, There is info available on our call for proposals <https://us.pycon.org/2016/speaking/>, if you wish to submit a talk proposal about your film. Another option you have is if you will be attending PyCon, you can use one of our Open Spaces <https://us.pycon.org/2016/community/openspaces/> to show the film. However you would need to supply a projector, sound and possibly a screen, it would all depend on the size of the audience. If that is something you are interested in, I can work with our AV company to make sure we get you very competitive pricing for renting this equipment. If you have further questions about open spaces, please reach out to our Open Spaces team: pycon-openspaces@python.org. Dear PyCon--
My name is Kimberly Dilts, and I'm the Impact Producer for CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap, a new documentary film that explores the current lack of female and minority software engineers in tech and highlights breakthrough efforts that are producing more diverse programmers. The film premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival to critical acclaim, and now that the film is wrapping up its festival run, I'm working with the producers to bring this award-winning documentary to organizations like yours.
CODE is designed to spark dialogue and promote an open, curious and in-depth conversation about women and other underrepresented groups in computer science—and what we can do as a society to diversify the field. The film’s trailer is viewable below, and attached you’ll find further information about screening opportunities. If you find the material compelling, I'd love to talk to you about adding CODE to your roster at PyCon, or at any other upcoming events for which you're seeking auxiliary programming.
