Hello, As our Chair Anna is a very busy person, I volunteered to write the email recapping what we've established on todays meeting. Responsibilities for Open Spaces: - check the board every 2-3 hrs for CoC violations (if there are any - take the card down & report to Anna) - keep the surroundings of the board nice and tidy - at the end of the day, put the pins and cards behind the registration booths and take a photo of the whole board to later put all the details in a spreadsheet that Anna will create We'll follow up on when to take the cards down etc. Cheers, Kinga -- Kinga Kieczkowska
Hey Kinga and OS team,
I like to keep that data from year to year so if you do take down the
cards, please bring them to C125 and then I will input the data into a
spreadsheet.
Thanks again and it was great seeing you tonight!

Hey everyone! Just a quick update: There was a misunderstanding and we will not have two boards up this year but only one board for the present day. Ewa was so kind to offer to take down the cards of the previous day every morning and add all open spaces to a spreadsheet. Hobson, this means that Ewa will take the cards down tomorrow (Tuesday) morning and you do not need to do this. I tweeted out today that if people would like to reserve a spot for the next day to please tweet their topic and time to me. Here’s my tweet https://twitter.com/OssAnna16/status/737342037633073153. At the end of the day I emailed Ewa the reservation wishes and she kindly offered to reserve the slots the following morning. Hobson, if you would tweet out the same again tomorrow and make sure to email Ewa any reservation wishes (if there are any) at the end of the day, that would be great. I will be unavailable from around 10.30am-1pm tomorrow. I will be available for the rest of the day. If you need to reach me it’s best to tweet me or text me. My number is 512-552-5445. In any case: you are now on my schedule for the morning remarks. I'll

Ewa only ordered one board. I most likely failed in communicating to Ewa that we wanted to do two boards, I’m sorry. And I didn’t know the board was going to be this big, which is awesome, it’s just difficult to have two boards of this size + the lighting talk boards up in the registration area. Ewa also mentioned that one board costs about $500 so it’s a cost issue as well. I had 3 people reach out to me wanting to reserve slots for tomorrow and heard no complaints about only one board being up so I think we’re fine. Thank you for putting it on your agenda for tomorrow! was able to organize an open space collaboration with more than a dozen

I spoke with our sign printer and she can print two on one board. This way
we can have Monday and Tuesday from the get-go and then Tuesday morning
change Monday to Wednesday.
These boards are too big to print all 3 separate especially since we don't
always have a lot of room in the lobby (mainly during the first day).

In any case: you are now on my schedule for the morning remarks. I'll either make the remarks after Guido speaks, or maybe after both keynotes speak — since that's when the most people possible will be in the audience and listening!

There was a misunderstanding regarding the boards and the space in the registration area is pretty limited since we have the lightning talk boards up there as well. I hope we’ll be able to think of a better solution for next year.
See you tomorrow! Anna

Thanks so much! Anna

I like to keep that data from year to year so if you do take down the cards, please bring them to C125 and then I will input the data into a spreadsheet.
Thanks again and it was great seeing you tonight!

As our Chair Anna is a very busy person, I volunteered to write the email recapping what we've established on todays meeting.
Responsibilities for Open Spaces: - check the board every 2-3 hrs for CoC violations (if there are any - take the card down & report to Anna) - keep the surroundings of the board nice and tidy - at the end of the day, put the pins and cards behind the registration booths and take a photo of the whole board to later put all the details in a spreadsheet that Anna will create
We'll follow up on when to take the cards down etc.
Cheers, Kinga

Thank you for the good feedback, Hobson! I’m glad to hear that :) And thank you, Ewa, for talking to the sign printer. This sounds like a really good solution. I appreciate all your help and I’m glad everything is going so well :) Anna --------------------------------- You are appreciated. You are enough. You matter. You are not alone.

: I spoke with our sign printer and she can print two on one board. This way we can have Monday and Tuesday from the get-go and then Tuesday morning change Monday to Wednesday.
These boards are too big to print all 3 separate especially since we don't always have a lot of room in the lobby (mainly during the first day).
