Open Spaces Co-Chair Application
Hello! My name is Nathaniel. I am attending my first PyCon this year, and I wanted to submit myself for one of the two Open Spaces Co-Chair positions (found from: https://twitter.com/OssAnna16/status/1093176750715023362) Relevant links: 1. www.nathanielcompton.com 2. www.linkedin.com/in/nathanielcompton 3. www.github.com/nathanielcompton 4. www.gitlab.com/nathanielcompton 5. www.twitter.com/TryVanillaJS Currently, I am a Software Engineer at Revel Systems in Atlanta, GA, USA. We use Python for our API layer and Database interactions (Django, AWS, PostgreSQL). I am interested in eventually becoming a Core Python developer, and thought volunteering as an Open Spaces Co-Chair might be a good way to get my foot in the door, to meet other developers, and to start helping out with the administration of the community. I hope you select me for this position! I am extremely excited to attend the Con either way. Please reach out if you have any questions, or would like to set up further conversation. Warm regards, Nathaniel Compton
Hi Nathaniel, Thank you for your note! Applications for this role are closed and we have already selected two new co-chairs. Warm regards, Anna —— You are appreciated. You are enough. You matter. You are not alone.
