If you don't mind taking an hour to get there, the light rail in front of the conference center will take you to downtown San Jose, which as many more options.

Or take the light rail in the other direction. It's only 25 minutes to the end of the line in Mountain View and there are many diverse restaurants, some relatively inexpensive, on and around Castro Street. -- Ned Deily nad@acm.org -- []
