Remi, I am VERY late in doing this, but I would like to add some roles for the auction it's self. I have some new roles which we should start managing in a more official way, and it looks like I will not be at PyCon next year. It is better to get this more formalized now. But I didn't want to just start modifying the spreadsheet on you without warning :-) Additional timeline: 5-9:30 Roles: Door Tickets (2) - Help manage the collection of tickets at the door at start of the auction. Auction Runner (3) - Help display items to attendees during auction Raffle Tickets (3) - Help with handing out of raffle slips and collection of money Packaging Station (1) - Help auction winners package their items with free supplies available. -Doug

No worries, better late than never! Would these work on the Auction Helpers sheet — https://bit.ly/PyCon2019-Auction-Helpers ? If so then there’s already a short link that we can all use for Tweeting, etc On April 26, 2019 at 17:12:50, Douglas Napoleone (doug.napoleone@gmail.com) wrote: Remi, I am VERY late in doing this, but I would like to add some roles for the auction it's self. That is the one I was looking at. I will do it tonight. Still need to get work done before PTO :-) -Doug On Fri, Apr 26, 2019 at 5:17 PM রামি চৌধুরি <rami.chowdhury@gmail.com> wrote:

I have updates the spreadsheet. I made a bit of a hash of it, but it should be good enough. I know some of those who have already volunteered are interested in different roles, so we should contact them to let them know the sheet has changed, if possible. -Doug On Fri, Apr 26, 2019 at 5:33 PM Douglas Napoleone <doug.napoleone@gmail.com> wrote:

Hey Doug and team - Door tickets and raffle tickets will be handled by the PSF staff. Our new accounting team will be at the event and handling all monetary aspects of the event. On Fri, Apr 26, 2019 at 5:07 PM Douglas Napoleone <doug.napoleone@gmail.com> wrote:

Ewa, As I noted (poorly) on the spreadsheet, volunteers will not be handling money. I have a new system for the raffle tickets where we will fill out carbonless copy slips. I was planning on having 3 volunteers for managing the slips, and then the PSF staff would handle money. I have discussed that part with Phyllis. Do you want people at the door to help with the non-monetary slip checking? Or should I just remove those spots? -Doug On Fri, Apr 26, 2019 at 6:59 PM Ewa Jodlowska <ewa@python.org> wrote:

Great news! At PyCon we will have a short group chat as well just to make sure we are all on the same page and following the right plans.

Myself, Jackie, and Betsy will be at the event helping so we can manage the door. No need for volunteers for that position.

Joe, Laura, and I will also be there, so if payment volume is low, we can be redeployed. Sent from my iPhone
