In order to get you prepared for onsite, I am including the below information. - Location of the Green Room/Speaker Ready Room: C122 (first level of the Oregon Convention Center). - Link to floor plan showing location (marked with blue star): https://www.dropbox.com/s/0hq5oh5lydhrkm7/green_room.png?dl=0 - It will be operational May 30 - June 1 and it will be setup on May 29th. - You are welcome to be there at any point throughout the conference - If you are a first-time session runner/chair, please arrive 30 minutes before the session you signed up for so you can go through a quick training. If you have done this before, 15 minutes prior will suffice. - Schedule: https://us.pycon.org/2016/schedule/sessions/ - Those that signed up to be of general help in the green room, your role will be to make sure operations are running smoothly and to step in for any no-shows or for sessions no one signed up for. - PyCon Code of Conduct & procedural instructions just in case you will need it: https://us.pycon.org/2016/about/code-of-conduct/ *If you have any questions, please email pycon-greenroom@python.org <pycon-greenroom@python.org>.* David Wolever and Julia Duimovich are the staffers in the green room and they will be able to assist you via email and/or onsite. Please do not email me directly as I am about to get on a flight to Portland :) Most importantly: Thank you so much for volunteering at PyCon. The time you put in helps our attendees/speakers have a great experience at the conference. We truly appreciate you taking the time to make PyCon 2016 the best PyCon yet! Best regards, Ewa Director of Operations Python Software Foundation Cell: 415-319-5237
I thought something looked off with this email: those 3 names are NOT on the green room list (did someone take them off in response to Ewa's email so fast, but not reply to list?!) BUT - they are on the Session Staff list. I don't have admin rights this year (which is ok - after 8 years, I don't really need it now) - so someone else will have to remove them from the session staff.
