I just wondered what happens when ints overflow. This question also applies to Psyco. Is a long returned? How much of a speed penalty does occure due to this? Regards, Florian

...miserably fails with FlowObjSpace. gnu lightning

Hello Your probably aware of this already, but then again, maybe not. I've just stumbled across the gnu lightning project http://www.gnu.org/software/lightning/lightning.html "GNU lightning is a library that generates assembly language code at run-time; it is very fast, making it ideal for Just-In-Time compilers, and it abstracts over the target CPU, as it exposes to the clients a standardized RISC instruction set inspired by the MIPS and SPARC chips." Killing newlines in pyx source

Hello, I'm now playing with translator stuffs from the sprint. I tried to read emitted Pyrex code, and found that many annoying empty lines are generated after def line. (They are for type declarations I guess?) My fix is attached.

svn with HTTP proxy

Hello everybody, In case someone has the same problems than me with svn because of a broken HTTP proxy that doesn't understand the extended webdav commands, here is a fix (I also need input as to whether this fix is "clean" enough). Edit your ~/.subversion/servers files to contain: [groups] codespeak = codespeak.net [codespeak] http-proxy-host = codespeak.net http-proxy-port = 8080 This redirects all requests to codespeak.net to the port 8080. The fix is kind of a hack, because codespeak.net:8080 is not really an HTTP proxy server but an HTTP server on its own, but it seems to work perfectly. With this hack I no longer have to use the svn url http://codespeak.net:8080/svn/. The problem with it was that it only worked for the "internal" part of the repository; external items are explicitly referenced with an url of the form http://codespeak.net/svn. The above hack thus forces svn to redirect *all* connections to codespeak.net to port 8080. A bientot, Armin.

Sprint results?

Hi! How well did the sprint work out? I have seen that there is some pyrex code generation now and there are tests, but what where the results in this area during the sprint? Just a very short mail with some information would be grately appreciated. Regards, Florian Schulze
