Hello, First, thank you for the pypy-1.5 release! I quickly tested pypy-1.5 (osx64 binary from your download page) with some code I use as benchmark (some solutions to Google code jam problems), and I got a reproductible "Fatal RPython error: BytecodeCorruption". Is this the supposed slow down, or is there something specific to sympy? So 3x or 4x slower, I think that's already very usable. Especially the sandbox pypy is an awesome idea, for serving web apps. Hi all, i created a CNAME for our use of pypy.readthedocs.org and so you can now reach pypy docs under the frontend URL of http://doc.pypy.org It might be better to promote this link also from pypy.org so that URLs have a higher chance to remain valid even if we decide to move away from readthedocs some day. It also includes a large number of small improvements to the tracing JIT compiler. It supports Intel machines running Linux 32/64 or Mac OS X. Windows is beta (it roughly works but a lot of small issues have not been fixed so far). Windows 64 is not yet supported. Numerous speed achievements are described on `our blog`_. Normalized speed charts comparing `pypy 1.5 and pypy 1.4`_ as well as `pypy 1.5 and cpython 2.6.2`_ are available on our benchmark website. The speed improvement over 1.4 seems to be around 25% on average. More highlights =============== - The largest change in PyPy's tracing JIT is adding support for `loop invariant code motion`_, which was mostly done by Håkan Ardö. cpyext reference counting and other gc's

Hey, I had a look at cpyext recently and saw that reference counting is emulated with, err, reference counting, seeminlgy in the referenced object itself. Does this mean that cpyext would not work with other gc's or is there some wrapping going on behind the scenes?

Hi, If you are using virtualenv, note that PyPy 1.5 requires virtualenv 1.6.1. It has been released a few hours *after* PyPy 1.5. For those who did not find it, it's there now :-) Armin.
