Any easy tasks for newcomers?

Hi all, I am interested in contributing to PyPy. I have a total of ~2 years of experience as a Django dev and some (read-only) knowledge of C. I can be available 12 hours/week, possibly more if I get addicted. Any thing (other than documentation; bad English) for me to do? Best - Chirag

Concurrent, nosql, opensource, key-value datastore that works with CPython, Pypy and Jython?

The subject pretty much says it, but here it is again: Is there a concurrent, nosql, opensource key-value store that works with Pypy, CPython 2.x, CPython 3.x and Jython? It doesn't need to be highly concurrent. In fact, locking the entire table for the duration of operations would be acceptable if the others block until the lock is released. TIA!

Compiling for pypy

Hello, I got a hard time trying to get pymongo running in Pypy - I simple can't figure out how to build/compile the driver for Pypy. After searching I coudn't find any answer on how to translate and or compile the latest branch of the driver and I'm quite desperate on how to make this work as I really would like to make use of Pypy in my present project.. Hello, I am having difficulties translating Pypy, but googling searching did not reveal any mentions of similar problems, so I am not sure what to do. I am not able to successfully translate Pypy, using any combination of options I have tried. Here are my results so far. translation on RHEL 6.x

I am trying to translate a pypy sandbox on RHEL 6. I am having problems because I think libffi-devel is not available in the EPEL repo. Has anyone had any success / build instructions on RHEL 6 ? Or do I really have to revert to RHEL 5 ? Thanks.

Circular reference when importing struct from a pypy sandbox.

Hi everyone, Not sure whether this is sandbox related, but I get a circular reference when I want to import struct.py The problem seems to be in the MixedModule import which get to import himself somehow... Anyone here who likes to take a look at the trackback below? Actually, I'm not entirely sure whether I have the correct sys.path inside the sandbox. pypy ML aliases at codespeak to be deleted

Hi all, in the future you must use pypy-*(a)python.org addresses, not @codespeak.net anymore. It's been a while since Ralf Hildebrandt and I migrated the pypy mailing lists to @python.org. The old addresses @codespeak.net forward mail to the new location but this implicitely disables some spam checks that python.org implements. Therefore, in a few days the codespeak aliases will be deleted, namely pypy-dev, pypy-z, pypy-svn. I assume also that pypy-issue can be switched off. best, holger

PyPy sprint in Cape Town

Hello everyone. There is a Pycon South Africa happening in Cape Town on Oct 4th-5th and I would like to encourage everyone to come it's a really awesome destination! As an extra addon, there is a high chance we'll host a full PyPy sprint in the following week (7th - 13th of October 2012) accompanying the conference.
