Hi Brian bytearray should be optimized for cases where you e.g. write() it to file or use read_into() in a way that does not make any copies. In particular, I am interested in working on the bytearray project. I noticed that the current status of the ByteArray project is unknown, but that there may be updates on the mailing list.
