By the way, can't we ship a wheel for cppyy so that people won't have to compile it?
We can instruct users to pip install --no-wheel if cppyy doesn't work for them.

yes. The one in the PyPy repository is the newer and has Ryan's fixes in it.
I haven't had time to update the PyPI package.
