Hi, I'm wondering if there will be pypy sprints at Europython this year (?) And if so, which are the principal topics (I assume stm is one of them..)? Thanks, Martin

It seems there will be an informal PyPy sprint on the first sprint day (Saturday 26), with at least Romain, Manuel Jacob, myself, and probably a few others. A bientôt, Armin.

Hi, Latest news about the EuroPython sprint: you suddenly need to register that you're going to attend, and you need to do it *now*! The deadline is July 7th. See here: https://www.barcamptools.eu/europythonsprint2014?__l=en Don't be confused by the big title "EUROPYTHON": this is not the EuroPython web site. It's another organizer that is taking up this sprint, and you'll need to register on their web site as well before you can say that you'll attend the sprint. Thanks for Romain for pointing me to the recent EuroPython blog post about it. A bientôt, Armin.

Yup, but I think you guys also need to create a session proposal for a PyPy sprint... Cheers, Sarah -- Sarah Mount, Senior Lecturer, University of Wolverhampton website: http://www.snim2.org/ twitter: @snim2

Added it now. I don't see a way to connect people to selected session proposals, though, so we can't know who is going to attend which sprint... A bientôt, Armin.

This is a barcamp tool we (ab)use for sprints too. The main purpose is to get a head count for room and catering planning. As far as I know, you can register as participant of the sprints as such but not for a particular sprint. Voting for a proposal can serve a similar purpose though. BTW, the sprints are run by the EuroPython team but use a different website just for practical reason. Regards, Mike
