Hi all, I'm preparing a EuroPython submission about STM and/or about CFFI, and wondering if someone else also planned to submit a talk. If not, I'll include a general "status of PyPy" part in my submission. Armin
Hi Armin I submitted the talk I gave at fosdem. Romain On Fri, Apr 10, 2015 at 5:51 PM, Armin Rigo <arigo@tunes.org> wrote:

Hi, my plan was to submit a talk about profiling/optimizing, possibly together with fijal if he comes (but I didn't do yet :)). Probably the talk which suits best for talking about the general status is Romain's one? On Sat, Apr 11, 2015 at 12:10 AM, Romain Guillebert <romain.py@gmail.com> wrote:

I just submitted http://bitbucket.org/pypy/extradoc/raw/extradoc/talk/ep2015/stm-abstract.rst . I didn't expect there would be three talks, although I guess the vmprof talk is not really PyPy-only. At one point, maybe, we could do a talk about CFFI, which is not PyPy-only either... But there is no way I'm going to submit a 4th proposal :-) A bientôt, Armin.

Since the CfP is still open until tomorrow, I've been thinking that we should do some sort of "PyPy for dummies" talk, to try to dispel the aura of high-flying magic that surrounds PyPy. Words that shouldn't be uttered include "annotator", "nursery", "quasi-immutable", "reds", "greens", ... I'll try to whip up an abstract before the deadline - though I'd gladly let someone else attempt the challenge.
