Hello! My name is Paulo Köch. I'm from Portugal and looking to contribute to PyPy. Right now, I'm still just digesting the available docs. I'll bet back to you as soon as I feel informed enough to start hacking. In my quest for documentation, I stumbled on the videos and their torrents. However, the tracker at http://codespeak.net:80/ always replies with something that my BT client doesn't understand. Going there with a browser, the site seems to be somewhat defunct, containing just links to other sites. So: * Where can I find these videos? * Why aren't they on youtube or something? Cheers! Paulo Köch

It turns out that the videos are available directly from http://codespeak.net/download/video-pypy/ . To Holger: I don't know if this is an oversight or not. Should we instead just move them to youtube? (Mostly for historical value) A bientôt, Armin.

Holger: I can volunteer to upload them, if you like.

Should I create a user for the PyPy project or is there one already? How do we go about keeping the password?
Just make up a random password, we'll get it from you later. There is no pypy user as far as I know Cheers, fijal

YouTube now requires me to create a Google account to create a YouTube user. We also don't have one of those, right?

Bump. If I don't get stopped in the next two days, I'll assume we don't have a Google Account for PyPy yet and proceed to creating it.

Actually two days ago I created a pypy account and uploaded the videos: https://www.youtube.com/morepypy (and yes, there is a already a pypy user) Since I happen to work for YouTube, I thought I had to do it... I'll shortly send the password to other core developers. In the meantime, I still need help to get better title/descriptions for the videos. -- Amaury Forgeot d'Arc

Alright! :D Thank you!

I'll leave this to those who actually watched the videos. We also have to update the wiki. I'll do some sweeping for new videos, also.

Ok, I found some descriptions on http://doc.pypy.org/en/latest/video-index.html

Thanks a lot, Amaury. Mostly of historical interest now, but still very cool to have the videos around. Cheers, Carl Friedrich
