Thanks to Brian Kearns, the pypy-compat branch of the numpy repo at https://bitbucket.org/pypy/numpy <https://bitbucket.org/pypy/numpy/> is starting to become the prefrered method of using numpy on pypy. Note this is a git repo. All commiters to pypy should have a commit bit here, let me know if something needs to be changed.
