what about making flow objspace understand xxx and XXX as global variables that always raise XxxError() instead of exploding? would simplify translation greatly. :.

weeeeeell. That sounds like an extreme hack to me. Maybe we should do something else, like 'assert 0, "XXX"' instead of just putting XXXs everywhere. Cheers, Carl Friedrich
