Hi A quick note: pypy3.5 is running on FreeBSD/amd64 (aka 64bit), at least well enough to compile the CFFI modules during packaging of pypy3. As noted in the release, pypy3 does not run from i386 (aka 32bit): # /wrkdirs/usr/ports/lang/pypy3/work/pypy3-v5.7.1-src/pypy/goal/pypy3-c 'import site' failed Python 3.5.3 (2875f328eae2216a87f3d6f335092832eb031f56, Apr 09 2017, 05:33:17) [PyPy 5.7.1-beta0 with GCC 4.2.1 Compatible FreeBSD Clang 3.8.0 (tags/RELEASE_380/final 262564)] on freebsd11 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. And now for something completely different: ``probably the last time in the season, but: snow, snow!'' TypeError: 'NoneType' has no length Regards David (on behalf of the FreeBSD/Python team)

Hi David, Cool! Note that pypy3 is not really working on any 32 bit platform so far. Would you be interested in having commit rights so you can fix the FreeBSD issues yourself? If yes, please mail me your bitbucket account privately. Cheers, Carl Friedrich On April 9, 2017 12:00:13 PM GMT+02:00, David Naylor <naylor.b.david@gmail.com> wrote:

On Linux, a 32-bit build is able to start, at least. I have no idea about the cryptic error message you're getting but it's probably a platform-specific issue. A bientôt, Armin.
