Correlated Keywords and Code Golf, this Wednesday at Python Adelaide (plus, we're on Facebook)
Coming up this Wednesday 27 September, 6:30pm (for 7:00pm start) at Python Adelaide: *Correlated Keywords* *Miriam Hochwald* Finding keywords in user searches versus client (artist) tags. Differences in perception and business case. Solution written in R, with Hadoop explored through Python. *Code Golf* *Rory Tarnow-Mordi* Why write useful code when you can write less code? Code-golf is the art of writing code to complete a task in as few characters as possible. In this talk Rory will give you a summary of the Python techniques you can use to improve your code-golf handicap. If you're attending, we'd love it if you could RSVP at one or both of these: Meetup.com: https://www.meetup.com/en-AU/pythonadelaide/events/242781914 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/2011109635801110/ Attendance is free but bring $10 to chip in if you'd like to have pizza afterwards. Please let us know on the night if you have any dietary requirements. As always, if you're interested in presenting in October please let us know! Minor Works Building, 22 Stamford Ct, Adelaide 🅿️ Free street car parking on Sturt St (closest) and Wright St. 🚋 Short walk from the City South tram stop. ♿️ Wheelchair-accessible ground-floor venue, with disability permit parking spaces right outside on Sturt St. 👶 Baby change facilities available. Also, *we now have a Facebook page*: https://www.facebook.com/pythonadelaide/ This is just one more way to let more people know about the meetup and encourage them to come along. Even though we've been running for a few months now, we've only just set this up so it's just tumbleweeds at the moment; if you use Facebook, we'd love it if you could RSVP to the event and like the page, to make it look a bit less like a ghost town :) See you on Wednesday, Adam
