Geographic Data and Kids: Python Adelaide tomorrow
Hi everyone, It’s that time again! Python Adelaide is tomorrow! Minor Works Building, 22 Stamford Ct, Adelaide. Doors open at 6:30pm, talks start at 7:00pm. Python for Kids Romana Challans Inspired by a Humble Bundle of kids coding books, Romana will review 'Python Projects for Kids', and takes you through the code examples. As a parent as well as an educator, (and often a big kid), the perspectives will hopefully provide some fun; as well as food for thought on how you can introduce some smaller people to this amazing language Geographic data format conversion using Python Andrew Mcdonnell If you need to work with geographic data, there are a multitude of formats, including KML, SHP, GeoJSON and others. I'll discuss some of these formats and where they are used, and then help you avoid using online conversion services and APIs by demonstrating how Python can be used to convert between them. 🍕 Pizza will be provided afterwards, courtesy of Cloudflare!
