[ANN] Datatest 0.11.0 Released

I'm pleased to announce the release of Datatest version 0.11.0. Datatest implements a system of *validation* methods, *difference* classes, and *acceptance* context managers. It can be used directly in your own projects or as part of a testing framework like pytest or unittest. This is a large and long-awaited update. [ANN] Pycopy/pycopy-lib 3.4.0, a minimalist Python dialect

Hello, Pycopy is a minimalist, lightweight, resource-efficient implementation of Python(-like) language. Pycopy to CPython is a similar thing as Scheme to Common Lisp. Executable sizes of 300-400KB, instant startup, no need to carry around large monolithic library consisting largely of legacy modules - some but not all of Pycopy's features. Instead, a set of a few core modules are included builtin: inspired, being a noticeable subset, and a little bit of extension, of the corresponding CPython modules. Also, clearly namespaced, to still allow room to implement fully compatible CPython modules. These new modules aren't intended to be an adhoc thing, just an alternative API with a constraint of minimality. Implementation of that API also exists for CPython (WIP), allowing Pycopy -> CPython forward compatibility. We support Python 2.7, Python 3.6+, and PyPy. Please note that this is the final version that will support Python 2.7! PyCA cryptography 3.3 has been released to PyPI. cryptography includes both high level recipes and low level interfaces to common cryptographic algorithms such as symmetric ciphers, asymmetric algorithms, message digests, X509, key derivation functions, and much more. We support Python 2.7, Python 3.6+, and PyPy. Please note that this is the final version that will support Python 2.7! Changelog (https://cryptography.io/en/latest/changelog/): * BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE: Support for Python 3.5 has been removed due to low usage and maintenance burden. * BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE: The GCM and AESGCM now require 64-bit to 1024-bit (8 byte to 128 byte) initialization vectors. This change is to conform with an upcoming OpenSSL release that will no longer support sizes outside this window. * BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE: When deserializing asymmetric keys we now raise ValueError rather than UnsupportedAlgorithm when an unsupported cipher is used. This change is to conform with an upcoming OpenSSL release that will no longer distinguish between error types. * BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE: We no longer allow loading of finite field Diffie-Hellman parameters of less than 512 bits in length. This change is to conform with an upcoming OpenSSL release that no longer supports smaller sizes. These keys were already wildly insecure and should not have been used in any application outside of testing. * Updated Windows, macOS, and manylinux wheels to be compiled with OpenSSL 1.1.1i. * Python 2 support is deprecated in cryptography.
