IMDbPY 4.1 and IMDbPYKit 1.1.1 are available (tgz, deb, rpm, exe) from: http://imdbpy.sourceforge.net/ IMDbPY is a Python package useful to retrieve and manage the data of the IMDb movie database about movies, people, characters and companies. IMDbPYKit (mostly developed by H. Turgut Uyar) is a web interface to IMDbPY, able to serve its output both in HTML and XML. With this release, a DTD for the XML output was formalized and support for i18n was introduced. A lot of bugs were fixed. Platform-independent and written in pure Python (and few C lines), IMDbPY can retrieve data from both the IMDb's web server and a local copy of the whole database. IMDbPY package can be very easily used by programmers and developers to provide access to the IMDb's data to their programs.
