MicceriRD 0.2 is a Python module of the 8 real distributions identified by Ted Micceri in his 1989 article "The Unicorn, The Normal Curve, and Other Improbable Creatures", which has been cited 1608 times as of now. This module can be used for invoking these distributions during a Monte Carlo simulation where one wants to test the robustness of a statistical procedure given assumption violations, such as normality. A similar module has previously been published in Fortran 77 (by R.C. Blair) and Fortran 90 (by S. Sawilowsky, R.C. Blair, & T. Micceri, 1990) as REALPOPS.lib. The license is free and open-source under the python packaging authority.
