Hey, I'm happy to announce pytest 2.8.2 has been released. In case you wonder, pytest is a widely used mature test runner both for unit and functional test purposes in python. Among other things, this release fixes a regression introduced in 2.8.1 when using parametrize with encoded byte strings: - fix #1085: proper handling of encoding errors when passing encoded byte strings to pytest.parametrize in Python 2.
