The Python Imaging Library (PIL) adds image processing capabilities to your Python interpreter. This library supports many file formats, and provides powerful image processing and graphics capabilities, including display support for Windows and Tkinter. PIL 1.1.5 alpha 1 is now available from: http://effbot.org/downloads#pil This release is available in source form (look for Imaging tarballs), and as a prebuilt installer for Python 2.3 on Windows.
