I personally would advise people keep an eye on https://discuss.python.org/c/committers/ for stuff as not everyone remembers this mailing list even exists (I'm personally posting here just because Guido said someone didn't know about the poll). I have opened https://github.com/python/steering-council/issues/198 to have the SC talk about this as I'm not sure if we formally declared anything like we did for python-dev for python-committers (I honestly thought we had).
