Those "mirrors" are not equivalent because they keep different branches in different repositories (compared with the single repository with named branches inside, in the "official" HG), but they are good enough. Thanks. In fact I am not sure this approach is even better, if the respositories share a common parent, so you can move patches around.
Now I have to master the MQ extension :).
