Originally, I had suggested considering the switch after the 2.6/3.0
release. I still think switching "soonish" after a major release is a
good time (soonish can be 3 months, like we're now considering). It
definitely would /not/ be a good idea to switch anytime before a major
release. So if we defer the decision now, I think we need to look at
the release calendar before choosing another window for the switch.
