I like it, it's a great idea! It just came as a surprise to me. Should we contact them and establish a work flow?

Yes, we probably should. The Django project was contacted by them, I've we've been working with them to set up a workflow, when I saw this I'd assumed someone had been contacted for CPython.

I think that would be useful to make sure that the security issues found in the code can be handled properly.
