The vote closed automatically after one week, as per PEP 13. However, I was traveling and haven’t had a chance to follow up to that Discourse thread yet.

I am really excited to be a part of the awesome team and am looking forward to helping out in any capacity that I can. I love Python, the first programming language I learned actual programming in and it is a real pleasure to help out with the development of Python.
