3.4.2 rc1 was two months ago. Time to start thinking about another point release? I was thinking about 3.4.3 rc1 on Dec 13, then 3.4.3 final on Dec 27.

If you and the other folks involved in releases are up for the faster maintenance update cycle, I don't see any problem with the idea.

I'm travelling between Christmas and New Year. So it would be better to do the release in early 2015.

Let's hold off entirely until next year then. There's nothing of burning import waiting for 3.4.3, and trying to straddle the holidays would mean doing the RC a couple days before Christmas, which is a busy time for everybody.
