The "What’s New in Python 2.7" document says "Python 2.7 was released on July 7, 2010." Is this a typo or you plan a 4-day cool off period before making an announcement?

The "What’s New in Python 2.7" document says "Python 2.7 was released on July 7, 2010." Is this a typo or you plan a 4-day cool off period before making an announcement?
I was thinking of July being the 7th month when I did that.

We can say we released it early because we couldn't stand 2.x anymore.
