At that time Richard Leland promised to do a research of Python process to further work on proposal to improve it. This was due to June, but still no result. The most "modern" tool with more or less sane gameplay here is tracker. But it suxx in many ways. Mostly because it is too old and too few are able to patch it due to either lack of information or experience (or time to get one or another). Mercurial is insane, and there isn't really anything else (except Sphinx). Hi All, Following on from this question: http://twistedmatrix.com/pipermail/twisted-python/2010-September/022877.html ...I'd thought that the "correct names" for distributions would have been documented in one of: http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0345 http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0376 http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0386 ...but having read them, I drew a blank. Where are the standards for this or is it still a case of "whatever setuptools does"? Chris

wiki/docs enhancement idea

I didn't know who to reply to in the previous thread. (Moving the Developer docs/ Python wiki). scraperwiki.org is a 'site scraper automater'. I threw together a script just now which scrapes certain specified pages from the python wiki and converts to something rest-like. It runs every 24hrs and the idea would be that the result could be included alongside the official docs. This may increase people's motivation to contribute to the wiki.
