updating ensurepip to include wheel

So, pip 7.0 depends on the wheel module for its automatic wheel building, and installing pip from get-pip.py, or the bundled copy in virtualenvs will automatically install wheel. But ensurepip doesn't bundle wheel, so we're actually installing a slightly crippled pip 7.1, which will lead to folk having a poorer experience. Hello Python Developers! Why is it that the OpenSSL v1.0.2d that is found on Python's SVN repo<http://svn.python.org/projects/external/openssl-1.0.2d/> is quite different from what OpenSSL has on their GitHub repository<https://github.com/openssl/openssl/tree/OpenSSL_1_0_2d> for OpenSSL v1.0.2d? I am asking because I am able to successfully download OpenSSL's GitHub version during the cpython build process but when I try to build cpython, I get failures because Visual Studio isn't … [View More]able to find files like openssl/opensslconf.h and this is because Python's OpenSSL version in SVN is the only one that has a directory inside the include directory. The GitHub repo is missing this directory however, and these are not the only differences. If I checkout the GitHub version and then replace it with what is in the SVN repo, you get these untracked files. About closures creates in exec

Is it intended that closures created in exec statement/function cannot see locals if the exec was provided a locals dictionary? This code gives an error ("foo" is not found during lambda execution): exec("def foo(x): return x\n\n(lambda x:foo(x))(0)", globals(), {}) while executes normally with exec("def foo(x): return x\n\n(lambda x:foo(x))(0)") Is this the expected behavior? I built the source tarballs with a slightly-out-of-date tree. We slipped the release by a day to get two fixes in, but the tree I built from didn't have those two fixes. I yanked the tarballs off the release page as soon as I suspected something. I'm rebuilding the tarballs and the docs now. If you grabbed the tarball as soon as it appeared, it's slightly out of date, please re-grab. Sorry for the palaver, //arry/

So, there's a patch on issue 9232 - allow trailing commas in function definitions - but there's been enough debate that I suspect we need a PEP.
